A former Hezbollah leader was found dead in his apartment outside of Beirut, Sunday, Lebanese media outlets reported.
Sheikh Ali Hatoum, who was a senior member of the Iranian-backed Shia terrorist organization before his departure from the group two years ago, was found dead in his home in Bourj el-Barajneh, a suburb of Beirut.
According to some Lebanese media reports outlets claimed that “no actions were taken against” the former Commander of the Resistance Brigades given that he was no longer affiliated with the terrorist organization, and that he committed suicide at his home, as he had been suffering from severe neurological conditions for some time. Family members had reported that he had suffered from severe nervous breakdowns, resulting from severe depression, stress and anxiety.
Other reports however claim that no cause of death has been as of yet reported and local officials are expected to make a public statement.
