As aviation authorities reveal that the Ukrainian Airliner was on fire before it crashed, Ukrainian authorities consider terrorism, a missile strike and engine failure as potential causes for the fatal crash of flight PS 752.
Based on a statement on Facebook, Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council chief, said that a meeting was taking place with Iranian authorities to study causes behind the crash; including a theory that the plane was hit by an anti-aircraft missile.
The timing of the crash has fueled speculation, coming just hours after Iran fired missiles at two Iraqi bases housing US troops in retaliation for killing Ghasem Soleimani.

Ukraine International Airlines, which has never had a crash before Wednesday, has said that it’s highly unlikely that the cause was error by its crew.

The crashed airliner climbed on an altitude of about 8000 feet before the aircraft data suddenly disappeared; according to former FAA chief, the lost data is “very unusual” and could suggest a “catastrophic” incident.
